Today, I blend academic knowledge with emotional connection. I aim to make music feel expressive, personal, and meaningful — while still grounding students in solid technique and theory. I’ve found a balance that keeps learning both disciplined and enjoyable.

Yes, I offer a free trial lesson to all new students. It’s a no-pressure opportunity to get a feel for the lesson structure, ask questions, and make sure we’re a good fit. It’s also a great way for me to learn more about your goals and musical background (if any), so I can customize the path ahead.

Generally, piano classes are 45 minutes long, but depending on the student’s focus for the day or the level of the material, lessons can occasionally extend up to an hour. Flexibility is built into the structure — the goal is always to match the lesson length with the student's needs and attention span.

For small children, it’s completely okay to start with a MIDI keyboard, electric organ, or any basic keyboard instrument, as long as it has full-size keys. For teenagers and adults, however, I don’t recommend starting without access to either a digital or acoustic piano, as it’s crucial to build proper technique and dynamics early on. That said, there are still ways to begin learning without owning an instrument — and we can talk about practical solutions during the consultation.

You won’t need to purchase any books or materials in advance. Everything is provided and handed to you during each session — from sheet music and technical exercises to practice guides and theory worksheets. However, if you're a serious student, I always encourage building your own personal music library over time. Also, for some students, a small fee may be requested to cover a basic music notation book or beginner materials — but nothing expensive or excessive.

Life happens — I understand. If you're unable to attend a lesson, just let me know at least 48 hours in advance, and we’ll reschedule at no extra charge. That said, repeated cancellations can disrupt progress, so I encourage consistency as much as possible.
If the cancellation notice is given less than 48 hours before the lesson, a partial cancellation fee (one-third of the session cost) may apply, as that time has already been reserved for you. -
